Dell is certainly not the most popular brand when it comes to printers, but they have been selling printers under the Dell brand name from quite sometime. Today, they have launched a new array of printers that use LED technology, rather than lazer.
Even their most basic models offer full color support and can print up to 10 pages per minute. There are 3 models to choose from and all of them appear to offer same specs. The most basic model is the 1250c which has a 150 sheet paper tray and can hold 100 sheets of printed papers. It connects via USB 2.0 and Dell offers both Windows and Mac drivers for it. Unfortunately, there is no word on the Linux drivers. The bundled toner is good for printing 700 pages and if you want 1400+, the company is offering a higher capacity toner.
Second is the Dell 1350cnw that adds LCD display and can print up to 12 pages per minute, in color. This printer also sports 10 sheet bypass drawer so that you can quickly change the paper. It features both network and wireless capabilities.
Last, but certainly not the least the Dell 1355cn/w that is a all-in-one and sports specs comparable to to Dell 1350cnw. There are no a lot of details on this model and we will be able to know more about it when it is launched in November thsi year. Other two models are already available for purchase.
