Yesterday, we did a review of the Seidio OBEX waterproof case for the Samsung Galaxy S4. Today, we gave the Spigen’s Slim Armor View case a try and see how it feels. As its name suggests, it is an alternative to the official S-View cover by Samsung.
Here is the inside of the flap that makes contact with the display. It is not very soft, but it would scratch the screen too.
Here is the front of the case. It has a matte finish it that provides the cheap looking Galaxy S4 a sense of class.
The matte finish continues to the back too. It looks simple and very professional.
It gets the job done, and provides decent protection too. It closes well and stays closed. I wish I could bring up voice commands with the case closed, but that is something Samsung should have done on their part. This is how its sides looks like.
The case is really a masterpiece and I use it everyday with my Galaxy S4. The flip can be detached if needed.
Verdict – An excellent case for someone who finds S-view case cheap and overpriced. It is better than the latter in everyway and keeps the phone slim and usable.
