Toshiba has churned out a mobile workstation called Tecra W50. Its specs include a 15.6 inch full HD display (1920×1080), Intel quad core core i7 4800QM processor, Nvidia professional GPU, K2100M with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. It is backed by up to 4x 8 GB DDR3 RAM, up to 512 GB SSD / hybrid storage, and Windows 8 64 bit operating system. You can also opt for Windows 7 64 bit OS, if Windows 8’s metro UI is not your cup of tea.
Other specs include Wi-Fi a / b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0, 2x USB 2.0, 1x eSATA / USB 2.0, 1x DisplayPort, 1x Gigabit Ethernet, and a smart card reader and an ExpressCard slot.
Just like other Toshiba notebooks, you can use it docking station, which further expands its ports selection. Toshiba calls this dock Hi-Speed Port Replicator III. This notebook will be released later this year. Pricing information, thus, is not available.
