Panasonic has introduced a new top-of-range notebook called Toughbook LX. This new rugged mobile computer will remain Japan-exclusive for now, but may soon reach the European market as well.
This Panasonic laptop has high-end technical features that place it at the top end of the market, both in terms of price and performance. This rugged notebook features a 14 inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. Under the chassis, you will find a very powerful Intel Core i7-4500U processor with a battery capable to delivering up to 11.5 hours of battery life (according to data released by the manufacturer). And that’s not all. Despite being powerful specs, its weight is only 1.14 kilograms!
Although it is ultraslim, the ToughBook includes a good selection of ports that includes a VGA, three USB ports (two of which are USB 3.0), HDMI, card reader and Ethernet. The Panasonic Toughbook LX is Ideal for engineers, geologists and military.

Other specs of this rugged notebook include 4GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD drive for speedy operations. There’s also a DVD burner, WiMAX, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 720p camera. For the most demanding users, Panasonic lets you configure it with an Intel Core i5-4200U, 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD, Blu-Ray and high-capacity battery enough that lasts for22 hours on a single charge.
The weight when used with extended battery is still a very modest 1.395 kilograms. Impressive – very.
