Intel Core i5 3339Y, 3439Y, i7 3689Y launched

Intel has released ultra low powered processors at the CES 2013 that is being held in Las Vegas. Until now, the most efficient laptop processors had TDP of 17 W, but the new “Y”series CPUs bring the lowest laptop CPU’s TDP to mere 13 W. These new CPUs include Core i5 3339Y, 3439Y, and i7 3689Y.

Here are their specs:

1) Core i5 3339Y: 2 cores, 4 threads, 1.5GHz clock speed, 2GHz turbo clock speed, 3MB L3 cache, 13 W TDP
2) Core i5 3439Y: 2 cores, 4 threads, 1.5GHz clock speed, 2.3 GHz turbo clock speed, 3MB L3 cache, 13 W TDP
3) Core i7 3689Y: 2 cores, 4 threads, 1.5GHz clock speed, 2.6 GHz turbo clock speed, 4MB L3 cache, 13 W TDP. Find its review and benchmark in Lenovo Yoga 11S review.

Intel Core i5 3339Y and i5 3439Y have similar configurations but latter has higher turbo frequency. All of these new CPUs are built in Intels’ Ivy Bridge 22 nm microarchitecture. Check out Core i7 3970X benchmark.
