Graphics companies have not announced anything noteworthy lately, AMD has announced internally that it will not be be releasing the Radeon HD 8000 graphics in Q1 2013. They will postponing it to Q2 or even Q3 2013. These new graphics are based on the new Sea Islands architecture.
We do not have any specific or concrete specs of HD 8000 (other than confirmation of HAS features). Let us hope AMD release it earlier than we estimated as in the notebook and desktop world, AMD is depending solely on graphics (their processors are not selling like hot cakes apparently).
That said, the year 2013 and 2013 are going to be big huge profits to the company, thanks to the new deals made for the upcoming PS4 and Xbox 720 consoles.
