UQ Communications Inc have announced the avaliability of their new WiMax 2+ enabled mobile router by the name of Speed Wi-Fi Next W02. It is interesting to see the second model getting launched as last year during this time, W01 mobile router was launched.
The Speed Wi-Fi NEXT W02 is on sale with a price tag of 2800 Japanese Yen. Optional accessories include a dedicated cradle for charging and acting as stand will cost 4800 Yen extra. Compared to the outgoing Speed Wi-Fi NEXT W01 model, the new W02 brings better battery management schemes and a high performance mode to turn on carrier aggregation where all sorts of battery management schemes are turned off and Speed Wi-Fi NEXT W02 will show its best performance.
There is a 2.4 inch display that shows useful information such as data consumption, time and so on. Body size is about 121 × 59 × 11.1mm (width × depth × height), weight is about 119g. Supported OS is Windows 10 / 8.1 / 8/7 / Vista, Max OS X 10.7 or later. Battery capacity is 2,300mAh and battery life is about 420 minutes without battery saving mode on and 510 minutes with that mode on.
Speed Wi-Fi NEXT W02 is available in two colors, green and white and is currently on sale only in Japan.
