Even though Intel invented the term ultrabook for the light and thin notebooks, AMD is also busily engrossed in the launching something similar and by June 2012, the company will be launching Deccan platform that will be based on the AMD Krishna APU infrastructure that we mentioned few months back.
AMD is also preparing to launch a new platform based on the Kabini processor to compete agains the Ivy Bridge and Haswell platforms.
AMD had huge opportunity earlier this year when Intel sandy bridge processors were having some problems. However, they were unable to cash in due to poor Llano APU yields.
