There seems to be thousands of native Linux Twitter clients, but which one is the best? Well, over the pass few weeks, I have tested out myriad of Twitter clients and the found HotTot to be the best.
At first blush, one can easily confuse it with a Mac OSX app. It has that iApp feel to it. It has slick transitory animations and feels fast and responsive. This is chiefly due to the fact that it is based on python.
With HotTot, you can see all retweets in their own stream in the “Retweets and Retweeted” pane. It also has full support for extentions that allow you to add extra tools and services to the app. An example of it can is image uploading. Download the app from here
