SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card with 256GB capacity in now on sale in Japan. This announcement came from Western Digital that now owns Sandisk as well. Right now, it is being imported from outside Japan and retails for 149 dollars in US but Sandisk will be making it available in August 2016 so Q4 2016.
SanDisk 256GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I card offers transfer speed of 100MB / s and write speed of 90MB/s making it world’s fastest microSD card. In addition to that, this SanDisk 256GB Ultra microSDXC memory card is also waterproof, temperature resistance, impact resistance and X-ray proof as well. This makes it not only ideal for shooting videos in 4K but also in rough and wet environments.
Keep in mind that this Sandisk 256GB is not the world’s first 256GB micro SD card. Samsung has taken that prize by releasing one ahead of Sandisk but we doubt if the quality of Sandisk can ever be surpassed by Samsung.
